We’re All In This Together
Spiritual or ritual abuse can profoundly impact survivors’ psychosocial, sexual, and spiritual development. Victims often grapple with feelings of fear, isolation, and guilt. The unfortunate reality is that abusers—sometimes even respected religious leaders and family members—contribute to this silence.
At our special peer support group, we stand together. Whether you’ve faced:
Religious Abuse:
- Using scripture or beliefs to humiliate or embarrass individuals.
- Coercing people into giving money or resources against their will.
- Forcing unwanted intimacy or sexual acts.
- Pressuring individuals to do things they are not comfortable with.
Spiritual Abuse at Home:
- Shaming, ridiculing, or manipulating religious beliefs or practices.
- Preventing someone from practising their religion as desired.
- Using religious texts or beliefs to justify other forms of abuse (physical, sexual, financial, etc.).
Ritual Abuse:
- Where symbols or activities have superstitious, supernatural, or religious connotations, often occurring as part of a rite or ceremony.
We’re here to listen, support, and heal together. Join us on Monday nights online, where understanding hearts gather to rebuild and empower one another. To join us, read the Peer Support Group Info & Guidelines and email us at support@littlero.org. A member of the team will contact you. And check out the resources page for more help and support.

What Is Peer Support
Peer-to-peer support occurs when individuals with shared experiences come together to offer assistance to one another. This approach fosters a community where everyone feels accepted and understood, valuing each member’s experiences equally. In this collaborative environment, each participant both gives and receives support.
